Tom Miazga
ABOUT TOM
Tom Miazga found his passion for sport in the pool. Miazga was introduced to the Paralympic Organization his freshman year of high school. He would quickly gain international experience as a member of the 2007 Para Pan-Am Team in Rio de Janiero, Brazil. Miazga would set the bar high, winning 6 medals, including Gold in the 100m Backstroke. The journey continued for Tom in 2008, as a member of the US Paralympic Swim Team in Beijing, China. Miazga would go on to place 8th in the 400m Freestyle, and 9th in the 100m Backstroke. Upon retirement from the pool in 2015, Tom collected 13 international medals and set American Records in 8 different events.
Still feeling the competitive edge, Miazga found CrossFit in 2016, where he now shares his passion as both a coach and athlete. Much like his swimming career, Tom found quick success, winning the 2017 WheelWOD CrossFit Open. In 2018, he began his reign as the “Fittest Seated Man on Earth”, winning the WheelWOD CrossFit Games in 2018, 2019, and still holds the title.
