ABOUT MEGAN

Megan Blunk, an avid athlete from a young young age, was the passenger in a motorcycle accident that paralyzed her from the waist down the summer after highschool. Only three years after her accident, Megan had earned a full-ride to the University of Illinois, where she played Wheelchair Basketball for the next five years. After graduation, she continued to compete, winning two silver medals at the Paracanoe World Championships (2013) and a gold medal at the ParaPan American Games (2015). Megan continued to push herself until she reached her ultimate goal of making the USA National Wheelchair Basketball Team to compete in the 2016 Paralympics in Rio de Janeiro where she took home a Gold Medal. Today, she plays with The San Diego Wolfpack and continues to train for the upcoming 2020 Paralympics.
